Supervision

Great to see you here!

I currently have openings for individual supervision for both LPC’s and Art Therapists, pre or post licensure.

To introduce myself, and my background…

I am an LPC and Art Therapist, with over 8 years experience in the mental health field working with adolescents, adults and families. I earned my Masters degree in Counseling and Art Therapy at Marylhurst University in 2017. I am approved by the Oregon Board of Licensed Profession Counselors, both at a licensed clinician and approved supervisor; in addition to parallel credentials with the national art therapy board (ATCB).

I am, and have been, active in and in support of the addiction recovery supports in the Portland Metro area as well. I love to learn and have extensive experience with neurodivergence, anxiety disorder, depression, grief, emotional regulation/emotional wellness, providing gender affirming care and trauma healing, etc.

I presently work in private practice, while also providing supervision on a contract basis for various organizations in Oregon, as well as on an individual basis. My previous practice settings have included working as the Clinical Director and therapist within a small residential treatment facility for dual-diagnosis adolescents, as well as providing art therapy and counseling in an adult inpatient facility, prior to entering private practice in 2021.

My supervision style is supportive and interactive, trauma informed and with a family systems focus, using a cognitive behavioral framework focusing on how thoughts impact both our emotions and behaviors. I focus on assisting supervisees to develop coping and emotional regulation skills, improved boundaries, and effective communication skills to build and maintain satisfying and successful personal and professional relationships.

I use HIPAA compliant video platforms to conduct supervision sessions, which means I can work with supervisees anywhere, not just in my local community. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can determine if we are a good match for supervision.

If you’re interested in working together, I look forward to hearing from you; feel free to reach out via email to inquire about a consultation, or pass on my information to those that might be needing supervision support.

Thanks again for your time and attention.

Sincerely,

Sarah
